Utah Governor Spencer Cox said that he plans to veto legislation passed on Friday that would ban transgender student-athletes from competing in girls sports within the state.
Without his support, Utah is unlikely to join the 11 other states, all Republican-led, that have recently enacted bans on transgender girls wanting to compete in school sports leagues that correspond with their gender identity.
In vowing to veto the bill, Cox directly addressed transgender student-athletes, who he said found themselves the subject of political debate through no fault of their own.
I just want them to know that it's gonna be okay. We're gonna work through this,' Cox said.

I thought Utah is pretty much Mormon controlled. Is the Mormon church really down with this? They pulled out of BSA because BSA lost their moral compass. Seems like this would be the end of this governors political career in Utah.

In high school the boys who played basketball for fun in the gym could easily beat the girls varsity team. I even wager that if you have two JV boys against 5 varsity girls the boys will win every time.

Let tranny men (biological females) compete against males in football, baseball, basketball, hockey, and track ... and then lets see if there are any differences between the sexes.

Its just so damn strange NO ONE mentions the THOUSANDS of parents and girls who commit their time and money to allow their girls to move up through organized female sports, and how that is all destroyed.
My brother’s daughter plays ice-hockey - started when she was seven years old. The family have spent literally thousands of dollars (and hours of time) on equipment, fees, practice, travel - to support their daughter in something she loves, and which has formed her social circle of friends.
Now introduce boys into the sport. Its like sh***ing on everything these all these people have sacrificed for over the last 10 years.
A bunch of 15 yo boys beat the US Olympic women’s soccer team. 😂
There is video of men in their 50s and 60s making college varsity girls look stupid.
What does it do to Title 9? You know the one that requires equal treatment between the sexes? Will men(biological) get all the scholarships?
