Fox News National Security Correspondent Jennifer Griffin appeared on Hannity where she addressed recent Russian propaganda claiming the U.S. has secret bioweapon labs in Ukraine.
Griffin said, “Those are Soviet-era biolabs that the U.S. has been engaged [with] since 2005 in trying to help Ukraine convert the research facilities safely.”
“In Uzbekistan, for instance,” Griffin said, “the US eliminated nearly 12 tons of weaponized anthrax from an island in the Aral Sea in 2001.”
Griffin reiterated the concern that U.S. officials have that Russia is only making these claims as a pretext to their own use of these types of weapons.
“White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Moscow’s talk today about these biolabs has led to concern by U.S. intelligence,” Griffin said, “that Russia could use chemical or biological weapons in Ukraine to create a false flag operation using them.”
Griffin’s reporting on the Russian claim stood in sharp contrast to what Tucker Carlson said. Carlson, who has been accused of pushing Russian propaganda on multiple occasions, took the admission by Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland that there are biological research labs in Ukraine as an admission of guilt. Carlson not only played a clip of a Russian official making the claim, but went on to propagate it himself.
“Ukraine is the poorest country in Europe,” Carlson said. “It’s hardly a hotbed of biomedical research. We’re assuming these weren’t pharmaceutical labs. Probably not developing new leukemia drugs. From your answer, Victoria Nuland, we would assume, because you all but said it, there’s a military application of this research. They’re working on bioweapons.”
Griffin pointed out that U.S. involvement with these labs is neither new nor secret.
“ But what Russia does is they take that information, distort it, turn it around and turn it into disinformation.”

If they started working with Ukraine in the past year or two, then MAYBE I’d believe the propaganda from the US Government/Soros/Meda, but it has been 17 YEARS - why are we still there messing around in those labs, particularly after we’ve learned what Fauchi was doing in Wuhan?
Griffin is a Woke Leftist, Carlson has gone off the deep end. Ignore both. Make your own decisions from those that you trust.
Griffin is the Official Spokesperson for the Military-Industrial Complex. Eisenhower would have seen her as a traitor. And so do I.

“Soviet era”? How long does it take to just destroy the place and build something worthwhile? Sounds more like a huge waste of America’s money.
Jennifer Griffin’s husband is a “reporter” for NPR and she’s also an anti-Trumper. All she did is read a “fact sheet” put out by the Pentagram.
Same network. Good drama. Both pulling their punches. Makes us look even-handed.
Oh totally believable! The US has been working since 2005 to clean up these old SOVIET facilities.
The Russians are not the good guys, but the USA is certainly one of the bad guys. Fact!

I’ve lost track of who/what is being discussed. Isn’t this precisely what the Democrats did on the PeePaperDossier? And, the WuhanFlu? And the Afganistan abandonement? Etc.
As to the centers, you entered in 2005 and material is still there? I call BS. That is 7 years to destroy something. Look what y’all have done to the US economy since BeijingBiden was installed.
The same with the Wuhan laboratory. There were public documents which showed our involvement.
It was that no one was paying attention, in large part, because the dominant media was not interested.

Why would Jennifer Griffin be any more credible than Tucker Carlson on this?
It may very well be that Carlson is wrong but I strongly doubt he’s intentionally spreading disinformation. Griffin, I’m not so sure.
Hmmmm. Perhaps Tucker’s problem is the admins “We have NO such work taking place in labs that we are a part of...” then they(vickie neuland) contradict themselves with “We have been working with the Ukranians on ways to stop bio attacks using lab facilities....” And Jenny knew from her sources but didn’t call out the mis/dis/mal-information? Are we getting ‘cronkited’ by someone?
Jennifers described history is correct. But your question is also valid. Why are we still supporting these labs after so long if our initial job was to secure and destroy old soviet bio weapons? I like Tucker and think he is correct to ask these questions, I do wish he would acknowledge what we did back in the 90’s and early 2000’s to secure/destroy soviet WMD’s.
