Record gas prices: Journalists, celebrities offer ‘tone deaf’ opinions on oil, energy as fuel prices surge

Journalists, pundits and liberal celebrities alike have offered an onslaught of energy takes as the Russia-Ukraine crisis unfolds and surging gas prices cause pain at the pump for average Americans.

Americans are experiencing the highest gas prices since the 2007-09 financial crisis, with the national gas price average reaching more than $4 per gallon – the highest average to date, according to AAA. To combat the shocking price increase, many have echoed White House talking points lecturing Americans to buy more electric cars. Other liberal pundits have insisted Americans should simply eliminate oil dependence altogether without offering a viable alternative.

Not tone deaf, it’s revealing. They don’t care about, nor do they like the middle class.

It’ll all blow a gut pretty soon, and Revolution will make a big return. I do hope we all like the way it finally turns out.

As a result, NewsBusters managing editor Curtis Houck said "few stories will do a better job of exposing the almost impenetrable bubble of the far-left and their celebrity pals" than coverage of gas prices and energy costs that is currently dominating the news cycle.

"It's not just tone deaf, but demeaning and insulting for them to almost celebrate the lack of adequate oil supply and sky-high prices at the pump," Houck told Fox News Digital. "Contrary to their worldview, working men and women aren't able to have the funds to foot the bill for a Telsa or electric car or accountant to find them the massive tax breaks. No matter what they say, viewers will see right through these smug pleas to 'go green.'"

Just remember workers, the Left HATE you. They smell your stink emanating from Walmart and wish you'd die so they all have the beach and national parks to themselves.

The elites don't get it. (big surprise) While they beat the war drums over the "crisis" in Ukraine - and I'm sure it is a terrible crisis in Ukraine, but it is a Ukrainian crisis... We have a very real, very immediate crisis right here at home. Actually several. Inflation, fuel prices, deficits, and illegals streaming over the southern border are all much more real, much more of an immediate threat to us than what Russia may or may not be doing on the other side of the globe. Yes Ukraine is important, but making sure I can put food on the table next week and keep my family safe today is far more important to me.

So don't try to tell me we have to stop the Russians. Don't try to tell me this statue must come down. Don't try to tell me my family has to get this experimental vaccine. Don't try to tell me what pronouns to use to avoid offending some snowflake. These are meaningless distractions, STFU. All the bleating and blathering of the elites just makes me resent them.

They don’t need to; they just need the talking points of the American oligarchs who employ them. Never mind journalists and celebrities; Barack Otoken would literally stop talking when the Speak-and-Spell/teleprompter malfunctioned on occasion.

Russian state owned company Roszarubezhneft, which translated into English means “Russian foreign oil”, handles up tp 80% of Venezuelan oil production. That is what Putin was referring to the other day when he was snickering about Biden banning Russian domestic oil production in favor of buying Russian foreign oil production interests. Basically Biden is wanting to use Russian foreign oil to break sanctions he imposed on Russian domestic oil. lol Time for Biden to go back to the oil begging drawing board. Maybe he would like to try Canada or lifting bans on US producers this time

The talking point is it is “patriotic” to pay more for gas to preserve the democracy of Ukraine. BS. Why should people suffer for the actions of Chomo Joe?

But, naturally, if Trump were still in, and this was happening, these same celebs would be screeching their textbook, Blaming Trump propaganda.
