Even at 4K to 6K...that would be humiliating to the Russian armed forces.
What we think of as catastrophic and what the Russians would think of as catastrophic are two very different scenarios. If we had invaded and had losses like the Russians, we would already have either pulled out or simply nuked Ukraine to hell, but human life in the “defense” of the motherland is held cheap in the Kremlin.
Regardless of what the death toll is, which they’ll hide forever, the Russians are attacking farther and farther to the West. They might just lose all the way to the Polish border.
Not surprising as WW2 was a prime example of that, took Stalin 2 years to find Generals that knew how to fight..Always thought the Soviet army was a paper tiger.
Based on what I heard this story is a cheap propaganda. 3/4 of the wounded admitted in Belgorod are Ukrainian POWs, the rest are a mix of Russians and LDNR militia.

There is no telling. You can’t trust anything the media says. They are being paid to report what they are told to. It’s obvious they have been here in the USA for a long time. Couple that with the social media and they can make the common people believe anything. I do think that Putin may have thought he could roll in and they would give a minimal fight and give up. If he starts losing to many people he may just sit back and start dropping bombs and flatten everything. Do you all think he wants to leave things as in tact as possible or did he take them lightly and people running it on the ground are morons.
IF 11,000 have been killed, there would be about 88,000 wounded, which would be about a 45 percent casualty rate, far higher than the rate during the Civil War which was about 23 percent.
4,000 killed, about 32,000 wounded would still be about 18 percent, which is still pretty high. In Vietnam the casualty rate was about 10 percent.
I haven’t seen any evidence that what is going on in Ukraine is anywhere near as horrendous as the Civil War.
The weather seems to be on the Russians side of things unfortunately, unless their forecasters are as bad as our local ones are.

I think some of the losses are Russian soldiers who just walked away.
We have reports of hospitals in southern Belarus that are totally filled with Russian bodies. There’s allegedly not enough refrigeration. Bodies are starting to rot.

How can anyone know? The Russian news agencies are all propaganda and the Western news media are hardly any better. The whole damn place may be blown to bits and all we would get is spin and posturing. I don’t trust any of them.
Anybody seen the video with scores of body bags of dead Ukrainians in the background and then one bag opens up and a guy in a baseball hat starts crawling out. 😆. Fake, phony and false folks.
