Now Beto O’Rourke Says He Will Buy Back Texans’ AR-15s

The shifting sands of Democrat gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke’s gun control plans have solidified, for now, into a pledge to buy back AR-15s and AK-47s from Texans if the state legislature will support doing it.

O’Rourke spoke with Texas Tribune CEO Evan Smith on Saturday and KVUE reported O’Rourke’s comments.

If the State Legislature will support doing so? DO YOU THINK WE'RE STUPID? The absolute ignorance of that comment by Robert O'Rourke is maddening!!! If the State Legislature WERE to support buying back those weapons at any price, it doesn't matter. The money would come from tax dollars and WE would be paying to give our guns to the government. The government will NOT give us any amount for the guns that they would not take back through taxation. Robert is not going to pay for a single gun himself.

Even those who oppose such a measure would be paying gun owners for their guns, something they would be in extreme opposition to IF you could even get them to see that their TAXES would pay for the guns. I can not believe the hellhole of stupidity into which this nation has fallen.

Once the Democrats get the control they need in DC, they won’t have to bother buying back anything, they’ll simply ask politely for them...and turn the screws on those who don’t immediately comply.

As to what they can do in DC to the holdouts with a few keystrokes - think IRS on steroids.
