The US says China will face harsh "consequences" if it aids Russia in its invasion of Ukraine, according to US media reports.
Unnamed officials reportedly told multiple US news outlets that Russia asked China to provide military assistance after it began the invasion.
The Chinese embassy in Washington said it was not aware of this request.
The warning comes ahead of a meeting in Rome on Monday between top US and China officials.

Sanctions are a two way street. I think the general consensus is that in the long run....they simply never produce a solution.

Ok, Chinese and Russia are about to form a Eurasian alliance which will be the most powerful economic and military block the world has ever seen.
All the nations in Asia hate the west. The ones that don’t will go along with them, because they will be on their doorstep with an eventually victorious Russian Military which will have blown off all the rust it gained.
Chinese are also learning that a military can’t exist merely on paper. Expect them to be involved in more wars. They wont invade Taiwan just yet, but when it happens it will be because we’ve failed in Ukraine to defeat Russia.
Two weeks to flatten the curve. Obamacare will cut the cost of healthcare and improve insurance. Iraq has WMDs. The federal income tax will only apply to millionaires.

Regarding the alleged request for Chinese help: China officially said this is a lie, no such request was made.
But this led to an interesting discussion elsewhere: just what military hardware can China supply *for this war*?
