North Carolina and Georgia are toss ups? How pathetic.

Georgia has two Democrat Senators and the incumbent is a Democrat - it will be a hard fought race to take it back, especially with Warnock's war chest. Toss up seems appropriate.

North Carolina is normally narrowly decided. Obama carried it in 2008, it elected John Edwards when it was more conservative that it is now, currently has a Democrat Governor. It will be an open seat. Toss up is an appropriate categorization.

Oh, forgot about Kay Hagan’s election in NC as well.

Yes, toss up.

NC is lean R in the 2022 environment. Unlike Georgia, NC has been remarkably stable compared to the national average.

While it has the same Georgia problem in Wake and Mecklenburg Counties, it’s been offset by real movement toward the GOP in the Sandhills and among the ancestrally Democrat working class elsewhere in the State.

North Carolina was more conservative back then but at the same time Republican voters were more open to voting for the ‘rat. Now the state is drifting left but you see Republican voters pulling the lever for the red team more consistently.
