And the question is: who’s gonna fly these sophisticated birds and who is gonna service/maintain em? Inquiring minds would like to know.

Yeah, no one ever quite gets beyond the emotional “It’s for the children” war cry to answer those two critical questions.
The planes in question are MiGs, which the Ukrainians already know how to use.
And who is going to provide the ordnance to load on this weapons? Does Ukraine have sufficient ordnance ready to go? To match their clearly inadequate supply of aircraft to deliver it?
OR, is this just pointless political grandstanding about a subject that has no bearing on reality or likely outcomes?

perhaps the better question is; what air facility are these aircraft going to use. Unless Russians are asleep at the stick, suitable runways and roads have been cratered.
