We are going to see famine this year. Most likely the grain production will fall by about 1/4 this year..IN THIS COUNTRY ALONE. The forecast for the Russian grain is normal, except China has contracted for all of that. The Ukraine-the third largest producer of corn in the world, will see a substantial drop in production.
The solution is to start eliminating these scum politicians that are thumping their chests.
We? That wouldn't be the case if we didn't ship so much farm produce to China, or if the government didn't pay farmers to destroy their crops, or the government redirecting corn to become ethanol.

Fear of nuclear war is a well-founded fear, perhaps our greatest one. This Russia-Ukraine conflict is none of our business, and risking a nuclear confrontation over it is insane with a capital “I.” I’m sickened at all this chest-thumping and warmongering going on — in both parties.
Agreed. Putin may have nothing to lose. He might have cancer so maybe he’ll take us with him on the way out.
That's a lot like saying the whole cold war was none of our business.
Or that Ronald Reagan putting the pressure on resulting in the break up of the Soviet Union was just unjustified meddling.
We have an interest in making sure the Soviet Union stays broken up.
And we have an interest in stopping aggression anywhere in the world at it's earliest stages. Not stopping it, is how you get World Wars. Not stopping it early is more likely to lead to the nuclear confrontation you fear.
Danny, your comparison is misguided. It’s apples and oranges. During the Cold War, the Communist Soviet Union WAS our opponent. Russia is not, at least not in the same way. A competitor, yes, but not an opponent in a good vs. evil sense.
Russia is NOT the Soviet Union. That’s a label some on the left hilariously and falsely still use today (funny, they were quite happy with the Russians when they were Communists, not when they threw off that yoke).
A quick lesson in history and geography will let you know that Ukraine has never been an independent nation at any point in centuries. It was, at least the eastern part, a key part of the old Russian Empire. The states that became nations following the Soviet breakup, most of them had no history of ever being independent nations. Several of them, including Ukraine, should never have become full-fledged nations, namely because they never were or intended to function as such. Again, they were states within a greater country.
It was a mistake to even recognize these states before internal and external factors in relation to the mother nation (Russia) were resolved. Eastern Ukraine should not have been separated from a nation it was inextricably linked to historically. Treating these recently-created (30 years old) nations as if they’re boundaries are sacrosanct is ludicrous. To threaten WW3 over them is even more so.
Putin is not Stalin nor Hitler, he’s not mass-murdering millions or tens of millions of people. People are acting or reacting to him as if he is. He loves his country, he wants to protect it. He made it plain he would not tolerate having NATO right up against the boundaries of his nation (and, frankly, NATO should’ve closed up shop with the Soviet collapse - it no longer has a reason to exist. Sadly, once these bureaucracies are created, it’s almost impossible to get rid of them). He would also not tolerate having bioweapons labs in Ukraine (claimed as propaganda initially, but admitted to by our people).
Putin sees the U.S. now as weak, corrupt, and a center of degenerate evil in the world (all true). Curiously, it was the Soviets that spent 7+ decades in destabilizing the U.S. in that regard. Putin and the Russians don’t want that cultural and moral rot their predecessors helped impose on us to come back, undermine and destroy their Christian, pro-family, pro-nationalist and anti-Sodomite society.
Take a look at all the people supporting this Ukraine/WW3 madness. Most of the world’s most evil players. Soros, the Sodomarchy, Derp State, the Military-Industrial Complex and on and on. For all of his flaws, Putin is NOT our enemy. But the President of Ukraine ? Take a closer look at him. He’s a puppet of those dark interests. This guy literally is begging the rest of the world to come in and start WW3. That, sir, is the real evil. And if President Reagan were still around today, he’d know where the real stench was coming from.
