The incident took place at about 7:25 p.m. at the Delta N.E.Y.O. Hood-nic Foundation car show

The shooting happened in the town of Dumas, about 85 miles southeast from the state capital of Little Rock

Arkansas State Troopers were sent to Dumas following an initial report of a shooting outside a local business where the show took place

Authorities said that 'as many as 10' people were wounded

Investigators have since confirmed that at least one person has been killed in the shooting, according to KARK

Yep. Remember it well.
Many years back, we lived in Baton Rouge and would use Hwy. 65 to head to the mountains in north AR. We went thru there a bunch of times on the motorcycle. It’s a small farm town in the pancake flat delta region raising mostly cotton, soybeans, etc. with not a whole lot of much else there. One can drive right on thru it in about 2 minutes or less.
It does have a couple of gas stations. We never stopped there...ever...for anything....just passed straight on thru. The town is essentially all black with only the farmers in the outlaying rural areas being white.
FWIW, there’s a ton of these small towns, just like Dumas, scattered all throughout the delta region of AR, MS, and LA.
