Wow. Not familiar with the pronunciation of that name? Never read Alexander Dumas, I take it?
DOO-MAH. Not, DUM-ASS.
Also, I guarantee this was gang-related.
Dumas, Texas is pronounced DOOM-us. I don’t know how that one is pronounced in Arkansas.
If they want it to be read different they need to spell it different.
You have never met anybody from Arkansas have you? This is a tragedy, but almost nobody in Arkansas even rises to the level of a smartas. (Misspelling intentional)
Thank you Andy Dufresne.
Pronunciation doesn’t mean a whole lot. Ask the people who live in Des Moines, Iowa and compare that to Des Moines, Washington.
“DOO-MAH. Not, DUM-ASS.”
Being of French descent, I could care less how them Frogs pronounce it. I pronounce it Dum-ASS.
It is Doo mas, but as a rival high school football team-”Dumbass”
Prayers for the victims!
Guy probably knows absolutely nothing about this place. Unless you live in the area, you know nothing. There are cities and towns in my state of Alabama that I know absolutely nothing about. Don’t know if their leadership is republican or dimocommie, whether they have law or disorder, whether they have good schools, or poor. Simply I know very little about Mobile down at the bottom of the state. It is nearly 200 miles from me. I have never been there. So, unless we live there or near, we really don’t know. This could have been gang related. I doubt some folks there to see all the cars were there to shoot the place up.
There was a Superbowl commercial a few years ago where a guy was being being interviewedfoe a job.
The interviewer was at his desk and his name plate read Mr. Dumas.
The dumb guy interviewing kept calling Mr. Dumbass.
It was pretty funny
Good call.
“The shooting happened outside of the 16th annual “Hood-Nic” event held by the Delta Neighborhood Empowerment Youth Organization. One of the organizers of the event said the gathering was an attempt to promote nonviolence.”

Smile. It was a joke
Have it your way but it looks like DUMBASS to me-—English being my first langwidge and all.
