WAUWATOSA, Wis. — Residents in one Wauwatosa neighborhood say turkey attacks of delivery drivers have become an almost daily occurrence.
People in the Glenview Heights neighborhood say at night, the birds will often roost in a tree, but during the day, they're invading the backyards and streets, and for some reason, often launching aggressive attacks toward delivery drivers and their vehicles.
"When I deliver over here, I try to get in and get out really quick. And they seem to be gathering together right now, so I'm always in a hurry in this area," FedEx driver Javan Nicholson said.
The aggressive birds surrounded an Amazon truck, pecking at it as the driver tries to drive away.

Turkeys are tasty. Just saying.
With the Democrats running things, that problem is going to take care of itself. Turkeys, and all other edible nuisances, are going to get scarce.
Simple solution - one time only open season on turkeys.
Ergot poisoning.
Turkeys are no different than any other fowl. If you take so much as a step back they will not give up, just like Canadian geese they sense weakness and won’t back down,
When they charge, charge them right back. When met with aggression from a larger threat they immediately back down and flee.
It’s time to bring out the shotguns....
LOL...I got this image in my head of the lead turkey clinking three bottles together in his claw - "Drivers...come out to play......."
Stop feeding the turkeys. There are a ton in backyard. When I used to walk outside they would go the opposite direction. That was until a year so ago when my neighbor started feeding them. He worked at it to the point that he could feed them by hand. Now the turkeys don’t run away. It has me thinking that if I was a little more spry I could just wait for one to come to me and I’d grab it by the neck - first step on the trip to the dinner plate.
“and for some reason, often launching aggressive attacks toward delivery drivers”
Gee, that’s a real mystery there:
“Breeding usually begins in late February or early March in its southernmost habitats, but not until April in northern states.”
They’ve chosen these nice cushy yards with no predators as a nesting ground and now they are defending it.
Probably a defensive war against the genocide the turkeys have suffered for almost 1/2 a millennium.
I think Washington should declare a No-Fly zone and send the Turks some weaponry.
But wait. Washington is probably on the side of the aggressors.
The judge let Boudreaux off with a warning for killing and eating a Pelican, Louisiana's state bird.
As Boudreaux was about to leave, the Judge asked what does Pelican taste like.
Boudreaux replied, "Oh Pelican dere good! Not as tender and juicy as a bald eagle though."
Geez, what’s a turkey tag cost for non-residents?
What did Erdogan do now?
