So many keyboard warriors, so little time.

The Soviets are no different just because they call themselves “Russians”. Same tactics on the battlefield, same results. My targets across the Fulda Gap are the same type units and vehicles that I faced in the ‘80s. We smoked them then, and would definitely send them home to their maker today should we end up fighting them today.

C Co, 2nd platoon, 2/6th Inf, Berlin Brigade, 1982-1985. (B Co 3/47 Inf, 1st Bn 502d Inf, 101st Abn Div 1985-1991)

What’s changed is the west. The US and most of Western Europe has subjugated property rights with “social justice”. The US & NATO haven’t stood for human freedom is a very long time.

Soviets were different because of one key distinction: They came from 15 “republics”, while what we deal with now is “Russia proper”. Stalin’s homeland is now the independent country of Georgia; Brezhnez’s birthplace is in Ukraine today.
