The legislature has the power to draw the maps, a corrupt exercise committed out in the open by both the GOP and the collectivists.

It is good that the court has permitted the legislature to give the people the business in this way. The collectivists will thank the court for its decision, when they return to power.

System pig Stern didn't feel like working, so he just recycled an old column.

It all falls apart when black taxpayers are expected to pay for those people (black firemen, paramedics, teachers, and police).

Here in NJ they set aside most of those jobs for blacks in black areas, but most of the funding comes from non-black areas; the black cities are bankrupt with little or no tax base.

The majority opinion is quite clear: the Wisconsin supreme court did not apply all the constitutional tests needed to weigh deliberately creating a majority minority district and misconstrued at least one of the ones it did apply.

SOCOTUS did not rule that the Dem Governor's map was unlawful or unconstitutional, merely that the Wisconsin supreme court's reasoning was flawed, and remanded it back to them for further consideration.

The worst part of the opinion for the Dems is that the SCOTUS reiterated the need to see if any such racial gerrymandering were actually needed to preserve blacks' right to political influence. That means the history of discrimination (or lack thereof) is relevant. The SCOTUS could rule in the future that these facts make -any- racially gerrymandered districts in Wisconsin unconstitutional.

Representation without taxation has been far more destructive than taxation without representation; the Founding Fathers fought against the latter and set up a new country without the former - non-contributors couldn’t vote. There is no reason to let people who don’t contribute determine how to spend the money contributed by others; as we’ve seen for most of the past century, they often vote to spend it on themselves.

The hyperleft Pennsylvania Supreme Court got involved in drawing districts because they said the Republican legislature was “gerrymandering”. Then they proceeded to gerrymander to benefit Democrats.

Plus if he is consistent with Biden he only means “real blacks” and feels any black who dares be disloyal to their designation as reliable Democrat party supporters are pariahs of the “black community” and should not be counted as representing “real blacks”. The Left always seems to project their own sins on to others. Those that don’t join them in their racism they condemn as racist.

They should have 12.1%, no more no less, representation! That’s the count from the 2020 census.

And, in using only the “race card”, they ignore the basis for the decision which is the LEGISLATURE draws the districts, not the Governor (as he did in this case)(And, is Democrat).

The upshot of this great desire of the Democrats who have ruled Milwaukee for over a century is to see one or more inner city, radical, feral, black politicians elected to high office like Lt. Gov Mandela

“It also alters the law of redistricting in fundamental yet cryptic ways that might, to a cynic, seem designed to disadvantage Democrats in every single case.”

Translation: Since Democrats are the party that relies on racial gerrymandering the most, Democrats will be most affected when other states challenge the Democrat “crazy snake” districts.

“The hyperleft Pennsylvania Supreme Court got involved in drawing districts because they said the Republican legislature was “gerrymandering”. Then they proceeded to gerrymander to benefit Democrats.”

Yep — they’ve done that twice, in 2018 and again in 2022. There never was any doubt about 2022, since Governor Commie Tommie Wolf obviously would veto any plan the legislature produced and then simply run out the clock so that the PA Democrat Supreme Court would be forced to draw the maps.

If you think the Congressional maps in PA are bad for Republicans, the state-level ones are considerably worse and will surely flip control to the Rats at some point down the road, if it doesn’t happen this November. The rationale for the Democrat gerrymander at the state level in PA is based on fraudulent Census data that overcounts Hispanics. The Census Bureau is just as politically compromised as any other Deep State agency, and the ones who interpret that data (PA Democrats, in this case) are even more corrupt.

Does the author of the article really care about black minorities or is he just balkanizing. I would bet the latter.
