They won’t. The ice is occupying more of the total ocean, by weight and space, than would it were it liquid. Water does not contract when it becomes ice - it expands. It is going to condense, not expand, as it melts.
It is also going to evaporate more, and as evaporation it will condense to rain in places, and as rain a good amount of it will fall in ways and places where it remains land locked, or underground. Even “melted” it is not all returning to the seas.
Bingo the old ice cubes in a glass question amazing how many fail.
Nothing makes my wife madder then when I leave an iced drink on the table. I leave it and of course the ice melts and causes spill over. I’m such an oaf sometimes.

What’s likely to cause the water around the glass is condensation on the outside of the glass from the humidity in the air.

How does buzzard breath relate to anything we speak of, well if the whole reality is not of God and evil, and kills all to try and live in a world we can’t live in, gives the buzzard breath reality...and if man could see The gulf between His ways and the whole world..the perspective may clarify..and really can only be expressed in music..its a language...I understand folks don’t all like the same music..
