A federal judge this week denied a temporary restraining order sought by environmental groups that would block grazing in six eastern Oregon pastures.
The Capital Press reports U.S. District Judge Michael Simon said the plaintiffs haven’t shown that turning cattle out on the pastures will cause irreparable harm to sage grouse or to rangeland research.
He said continued grazing isn’t likely to irreparably harm the ability of environmental plaintiffs to enjoy undisturbed sagebrush grassland, since the pastures have long been grazed and are rested on a rotating basis.
The case was filed against the U.S. Bureau of Land Management by the nonprofits Oregon Natural Desert Association, Audubon Society of Portland and Defenders of Wildlife.
Exactly and some of these idiots are in government. A friend of my mom’s back in the 1970’s constantly fought for grazing rights in Montana. Some government twerp would claim he was ruining the land etc. He would tell them ,” I depend on this land to live. I have planted trees as wind breaks, improved roads and bridges etc etc etc. “. It was a continuous battle.

“The left really hates family farmers and ranchers. But it sure enjoys the food that it provides. Two faced hypocrites.
Prior studies have proved exactly that.
IF the area is more than a couple of acres-—the cattle certainly do migrate.
Ranchers also move them from pasture to pasture.
Go do a vacation at a WORKING CATTLE RANCH & see how the cows are handled.
Liberals think that food comes from a box or can at a store - not produced by hard work by family farmers / ranchers
I can dig it, he can dig it, she can dig it, we can dig it, they can dig it, you can dig it
Oh, let's dig it. Can you dig it, baby?
“environmental plaintiffs” are just tools.
Good for the judge (for once).
Good.
