I do not know what Mitt Romany is. I do know he is not a patriot of our great nation nor a constitutional believer. He should be gone. Unfortunately Utah will elect him again.

The fix is in, and has been for a year. They wilp approve, by a small margin. They swap favors and draw straws for homvotes which way. But the outcome wws pre-decided long ago.
It is Romney’s turn to do it.
The question of why he flipped gets to the question of what Romney thinks he’s there for. I see it as a psychological question. The key here may be the fact that this vote is high profile. Mittens wants to be seen as in opposition to the conservatives. The vote last year didn’t have all these leftist talking heads bemoaning the awful racism of those Republicans who were opposing her.

Somebody please tell me if Justice Stephen Breyer has actually retired or did he simply announce his retirement, to take effect on such and such a day. If he is not officially retired yet, how can they vote a new Justice in?

We need to return the election of senators to the various state legislatures, and also put in a clause to allow the recall of senators via popular referendum. Call it the Mitt Amendment.
