Finland and Sweden set to join Nato as soon as summer

Russia has made a “massive strategic blunder” as Finland and Sweden look poised to join Nato as early as the summer, according to officials.

Washington is banking on the move that will stretch Russia’s military and enlarge the western alliance from 30 to 32 members as a direct consequence of President Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

US officials said Nato membership for both Nordic countries was “a topic of conversation and multiple sessions” during talks between the alliance’s foreign ministers last week attended by Sweden and Finland. “How can this be anything but a massive strategic blunder for Putin?,” one senior American official said.

Finland’s application is expected in June, with Sweden expected to follow.

Sanna Marin, the Finish prime minister, said it was time for Finland seriously to reconsider its stance on Nato. “Russia is not the neighbour we thought it was,” she said at the weekend, urging the decision to be taken “thoroughly but quickly”.

Russia has completely screwed itself. It can't prevent those nations from joining Ukraine because they've seen the potential consequences of being on their own and decided they don't want to be the next Ukraine.

Whether Russia actually would ever try it doesn't matter. Finland (in particular) doesn't see why it should have to take that risk.

Uh, that’s joining “NATO”, not Ukraine.

Let Finland and Sweden join NATO and kick Turkey out of NATO.

I expect things to get ‘interesting’ up there before they join, given that most of the Ukrainian objectives will be accomplished.

Did Putin have any idea that Ukraine was going to be his Waterloo ? The end of his conquests ? Next it’s off to a prison in St Helena. I mean Siberia.

Sure, let’s all support backing the bear into a corner and poking at it with a stick.

I’ll be surprised if we make it through the next couple of years without a nuclear exchange.

So Cold War 2 takes shape. The Military-Industrial Complex always finds a way to win. This is why they wanted Trump gone and were happy to commit open treason to do it.

Latvia and Estonia were already members of NATO, and Russia
never made a whimper about it.

So much for NATO on it’s border, and how it couldn’t allow
that.

The Ukraine was not likely to have put nukes on its soil.

This whole thing has been a fantasy of Putin from the word go.

NATO adds Finland and Sweden, while Russia promotes completion of the independent Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa payment system and development bank.

It seems the two sides are playing a completely different game.

Sooner or later, I hope it doesn’t materialize, but it appears people are just pushing for it, and I tend to agree with the author.

The death and rebirth of human civilization is the narrow path to awakening (and most likely the only one)

By: Mike Adams

Unless there is cosmic intervention — which is always a possibility — it is now inescapable that anti-human globalists are going to escalate conflict into World War III and use that conflict to collapse human civilization on planet Earth. This would, of course, lead to the near-extermination of the human race and a planetary-scale genocide event. (Cosmic-level ethnic cleansing.)

Over the next several years — unless they are stopped — they will drive the global population of humans down toward one billion remaining survivors. This will be achieved through a combination of vaccine genocide, nuclear war, mass starvation, biosphere collapse, 5G weaponization, weather weapons, financial collapse, cyber attacks and of course ongoing psychological trauma from the globalist-run corporate media. After several years of such attacks, humanity will face the very real possibility of planetary-scale extinction.

It is in that moment of facing imminent and permanent death that humanity will be offered a choice: Choose LIFE or choose DEATH.

It is critical that we all survive to that moment so that we can be among the human survivors who choose life, God, abundance and freedom.

I have no love of turkey. They screwed us in 91 and again in 2003. They are not a reliable partner and we should not be obligated should they create a situation leading to conflict.

That said, Putin would love to have the Turkish straights. Kicking them out of the club now would be an open invitation for Putin to try to seize that.

So bring Finland and Sweden in. Sit on turkey for a while.
