“I don’t know. Those tanks are not maneuvering. “
Maybe the tank crew spotted the drones in the area then decided they have betters’ odds abandoning the tank.

They are not. Ukraine originally deployed 37 combat drones, all downed a couple weeks ago. In the theater where thousands of pieces of armor deployed they aren’t a game changer.

There are some videos of some columns that try to scatter, although the deeply plowed fields in Ukraine seem to be really soft and good at trapping armored vehicles.
But I've also seen video of closely bunched vehicles with one throwing sparks from its sprockets, indicating probable track failure within a few minutes.
Poorly trained crews driving vehicles in bad repair in tricky terrain is not a formula for success.

As far as I’m concerned, that video is not a game video. What I don’t like is the background music. Is that necessary?

“Tanks are soo… last century. They are sitting ducks in modern warfare.”
Saddam Hussein, former head of the former 3rd most powerful military, would agree with you, I’m sure. Battleships on land vs unmanned drones and shoulder-fired missiles.

Odd, isn’t it, that people DEFENDING THEIR HOMES fight harder than the invaders!

By themselves yes, but so are big ships (like aircraft carriers) ... yet both still have their uses, so they need lots of protection around them
* especially air power - that's what made the US military so dominant!!

These tanks are like low hanging fruit. Take them out while it’s easy.

Heavy Russian artillery doesn't work well against a lightly armed mobile adversary that is dispersed. It will kill a lot of civilians if they shell settled areas, but wrecked cities are even easier to defend.
They're using WWII tactics without sufficient numbers against a dispersed enemy using drones and man-portable ATGMs.

I don’t know. Those tanks are not maneuvering. They are just sitting there, not moving at all. Unless Russian tankers are mindless idiots, or their ROE are suicidal, these tanks could very well have been abandoned armor when the attack was made. You can see at least one tank turn its turret.

Where the Russians line all their armor up in columns you’re only facing the lead vehicle. The Ukrainians can just cross the T, severely limiting the effective firepower of the attacking force. I also doubt all Ukraine’s drones have been shot down— the Turks are just supplying more under the table. Erdogan has no interest in seeing Russia win this one.

They're using WWII tactics These aren't even WWII tactics.
They are closer to Soviet v. Hungary or Soviet v. Czech tactics.
I think the tanks on the video have been abandoned, perhaps for lack of fuel or some other reason.
Tanks need to be able to manuever to be effective, and they need an infantry screen with air cover to protect them from ATM.

Be careful drawing conclusions from the Ukraine combat videos
What conclusion would you draw from the fact that, the Russians have not been able to capture any major cities, and those that they have 'taken' had to be blown to pieces before they could claim them.
Secondly, what conclusion would you draw from reports that the Russians had to pull back from the big cities and are now concentrating on taking territory closer to Russia?
Thirdly, what conclusion would you draw from the fact that, with Russia being a 'major military power', that they haven't been able to take Ukraine by now?

The point is that Russia deploys 10 times more and actually provides the videos of the successful strikes, whereas Ukraine posts the videos of the drone strikes from the video games.
To: pierrem15; All
I also doubt all Ukraine’s drones have been shot down— the Turks are just supplying more under the table. One site claimed to show Turkey supplying addition Bayraktar drones to equal the initial number.
It seems unlikely the Russians shot down all of Ukraine's drones, but almost certain some have been shot down.
One thing is clear: Drones are here to stay, and have become an essential component of an effective military force.

Another stupid convoy? Seriously? Do they think this is 1944?
To: tlozo
I believe Russia is going to prevail. Russia is a basically Asian nation in its culture and its way of waging war i.e. throw bodies at the enemy while blowing up everything you can reach with artillery etc. So long as there are more available bodies in the population or the nemy is overrun this continues.

I think the tanks on the video have been abandoned, perhaps for lack of fuel or some other reason. In the video, the third tank down from the top swivels its turret.
