Ed Buck, 67, was convicted last year of nine felony counts stemming from the deaths of Gemmel Moore and Timothy Dean.

Former Democratic political donor Ed Buck who supplied drugs to two men who overdosed in his West Hollywood apartment was sentenced Thursday to 30 years in federal prison.

Ed Buck, 67, was convicted last year of nine felony counts stemming from the deaths of Gemmel Moore and Timothy Dean.

In a sentencing memorandum, federal prosecutors said he lured young Black men who were often experiencing homelessness, addiction, and/or poverty to his apartment for sexually charged sessions in which he would inject them with methamphetamine and drug them with sedatives, with and without their consent.

Before he was sentenced, Buck spoke briefly to U.S. District Judge Christina A. Snyder, and he apologized "for my part in the tragic deaths of Gemmel and Timothy.''

"These are men I cared for and loved,'' Buck said. "I did not cause their deaths.''

He asked Snyder to "look at the good in my life,'' saying he is not the "meth-fueled ax killer'' the government portrayed him to be.

Snyder called the case "one of the most difficult and tragic'' she has ever presided over.

"These lives mattered,'' she said. "What happened here was reprehensible conduct.''

Moore and Dean died of methamphetamine overdoses 18 months apart -- Moore in July 2017 and Dean in January 2019.

After less than a day of deliberations on July 27, 2021 -- the four-year anniversary of Moore's death -- a federal jury in downtown Los Angeles found Buck guilty of all charged counts.

They’ll let him out anyway in a couple of years for “elderly care.” As if that should be a reason to release a convicted murderer.

All the California politicians who took money from Ed Buck
By MALOY MOORE AND SWETHA KANNAN

OCT. 17, 2019

Ed Buck was arrested last month and charged in connection with two overdose deaths at his West Hollywood home. There, prosecutors allege, he manipulated gay black men who were homeless, addicted or working as escorts into doing drugs for his pleasure.

Buck has pleaded not guilty to the federal charges.

Since the mid 2000s, Buck has given more than $500,000 to political candidates and causes, almost all of them linked to the Democratic Party. Forty politicians now holding office in California, ranging from Los Angeles City Hall to Congress, have cashed a check from Buck.

Current officeholders have received more than $150,000 from Buck, including Gov. Gavin Newsom, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey and U.S. Reps. Ted Lieu and Adam B. Schiff. Some have returned the money.

My girlfriend lived in that building 15 years ago. She was a Young professional exec type, but sure was not rich, That apt building was full of sketchy types, wanna be Hollywood types, middle eastern Men that were rude, whores both male and email. That a wealthy guy lived there in a scuzzy apt with little furniture says one thing....it was West Hollywood and he could find easy victims. And old Schiff went to visit? Are you effing kidding me????????

You’re a serial killer until you donate money to RATS, then it’s a “fetish.”

Hillary’s hand picked pied piper elector sees jail time.
Good. Say “super predator”, please. Too lazy to campaign
in the manner of Bubba Bill ever. Needed more bad egg
electors to win with than popular voters. I do love
“Stella, I could have been a contender” all the more now.
Lost with her mouth wide open. What is not to like?

Very brief mention of Democrat connection in this article.

Oddly, main stream media not playing up the Dem donor angle. Barely even a mention.
