Alghabra says government decision is based on science and data
Transport Minister Omar Alghabra is giving no indication his government plans to drop its masking requirement for air and train passengers in Canada in the near future.
"We constantly consult our experts and whenever the advice we receive changes because the circumstances change, we will change our regulation," he said Tuesday. But for now, it is what it is"
His comments came after a federal judge in Florida stuck down a Biden administration requirement that passengers wear face coverings on airliners and mass transit...

My daughter is in Canada visiting some long time friends.
She came down with covid and now can’t leave. She might drive to the states to catch a domestic flight.
Canada is toast. They’re done as a 1st world nation. If the Republicans can retake the House, Senate , and Presidency they should seriously consider and implement an invitation to all the Canadian provinces who might wish to join our nation. Quebec would probably prefer independence, but sanity may prevail there as well.

The length of the mask mandate is inversely proportional to the IQ of the issuer. (For congress-critters, that means that the more stupid - and therefore leftist - you are, the longer you will want the mandate to be active.)
Give it two weeks and they will step in line. They just have to appear to be different. And for what it’s worth, almost nobody up here seems to be wearing masks and those who are trying to keep up are finding people are either not coming into their businesses or are ignoring the signs (which generally say something mealy-mouthed like, we know you don’t have to wear a mask, but we would like it if you did).
Slowly but surely sanity will return at least for the majority, I am sure there is a small fanatical group who love masks and everything they suggest (which is shut up and obey the government).

As a resident who is unjabbed, I am unable to fly, or take a train or ship in PRC (Politically Repressive Canada). Unfortunately, XiJinBiden has made it illegal for ‘purebloods’ to enter the US.
I am a prisoner in PRC and SOOO wishes to be paroled from True-dolt’s gulag!
Any clues on when a vax mandate will be lifted? The North and West of Canada is gorgeous and I’d love to see it again, but I won’t get jabbed, so I’m stuck in Alaska.
I’m sure True-dolt will keep the vaxx requirements until hell freezes over. Remember, he and the majority of his cabinet belong to Schwab’s WEF and YGL. They DO NOT tolerate any ‘wrongthink’ among the ‘little people’.
In some ways, the Chinese have more freedom under the CCP, than Canadians under the True-dolt government.
Crying shame. I know a lot of small businesses survive(d) by getting tourist business all along the highways between Alaska and the lower 48.

Not sure how it is for Americans travelling between AK and the lower 48, but at one point, FedGouvCan allowed them 72 hours to transit PRC (Politically Repressive Canada). More than that, and they could be detained, charged and sent home.
Knowing how True-dolt and the WEF work, I suspect they may have KEPT that rule for ‘purebloods’. Those who’ve received enough jabs, are free to visit and do the ‘tourist’ thing. Refugees are not required to have gotten the jabs. Canadians who are ‘purebloods’, who want to travel by any means other than self-driving, walking or biking, are SOL.

I don’t think anything has changed. Pure bloods need to get thru ASAP, and you can leave your vehicle supposedly. Vaxxed can go thru but have less restrictions. I can wait. Crying shame the government is doing this to themselves.
