Persecution if they do anything. He is not a US citizen, did not travel to the US, and did not commit a crime in the US. Manning should have been executed. But Assange’s receipt and sharing of data is, if the US has any jurisdiction, at best or worst covered by 1st amendment.

As well as the predictable faulty cameras and sleeping guards.

As article states “Assange still has legal avenues of appeal” which I expect he’ll take advantage of.

he message this is dending to all publishers and journalists is —Expose the truth and you’ll be made to regret it.

I’m really, really surprised that Assange is still alive.

Assange got US soldiers in trouble for putting underwear on the head of a muslim, like the scene from Weird Science, the world was ‘outraged’. This guy is a faggot and can die by starvation for all I care.

Since espionage carries the potential of the death penalty, normally the UK and other European nations who do not have the death penalty will refuse to extradite, unless they obtain a promise that the death penalty will not be sought.

If they do not make that standard demand, then we will now their strings are being pulled.

Assigned has plenty of gray mail he can use. Perfectly legal to do. All he has to do is let the U.S. prosecutors know just a few of the evidence he would be releasing if he is prosecuted. I have a bit of doubt that the U.S. actually wants him extradited. If the do, they intend for him to commit “suicide” in prison.

Problem is that he likely has people around the world who would unleash a devastating amount of damaging information.
