Why should India not protect their original religion which is 5000 years old? Why should India allow other religions to invade their country and proselytize?
Well if you have confidence in your religion you would not care. If you do not, then I see how it could be a big concern. Same as Islam they fear any competition.
I suppose by that logic that any country should be able to persecute, harass, dispossess, murder, deprive of services and resources -- based on their being persuaded of another religion.
