“We are conducting this search during the continued transformation of policing following the unjust killings of Michael Brown, George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and many others — and the ensuing demands for racial and social justice.” Michael Brown (and Trevon Martin) were killed because they stupidly attacked men with guns.
George Floyd died of a heart failure due to a massive overdose of drugs (per the Coroner's report).
It is a shame that Breonna Taylor died. She was hanging out with very bad actors but I don't see that she deserved to die.

A leader who brings an enthusiasm to meeting this moment to reimagine policing. I seem to be seeing the term "reimagine" (or "reimagining") a lot lately. There was a good cartoon in Pookies the other day giving the definition of reimagine: "To screw-up, undermine or outright dismantle and destroy." How true.
