As Russia launched its invasion, the U.S. gave Ukrainian forces detailed intelligence about exactly when and where Russian missiles and bombs were intended to strike, prompting Ukraine to move air defenses and aircraft out of harm’s way, current and former U.S. officials told NBC News.
That near real-time intelligence-sharing also paved the way for Ukraine to shoot down a Russian transport plane carrying hundreds of troops in the early days of the war, the officials say, helping repel a Russian assault on a key airport near Kyiv.
It was part of what American officials call a massive and unprecedented intelligence-sharing operation with a non-NATO partner that they say has played a crucial role in Ukraine’s success to date against the larger and better-equipped Russian military.

This makes sense. A defender who generally has warning about when and where an attack is likely to occur, and in what strength, has a huge advantage. At thia point in the war, I don’t believe either side has the ability to mount successful. sustained offensive operations.

If we really want a war with Russia, why don’t we just go ahead and launch a first strike? Why wait for Putin to do it? Do the idiots in Washington not realize the fire they’re playing with? The C-5 can carry 345 troops. It carried over 800 passengers out of Afghanistan.
An IL-76, carries 150
Even an Antinov 124 only transports 88 troops.

Globalist Leftism must have a secure base from which to operate. The United States IS the point country/frontman for this movement. It provides the defense, public relations, and ideological base for the whole movement. Trump is merely face of the anti-globalist movement. The political Left feels like it has the anti-globalist movement in the US effectively culled...not eradicated...but culled. On the other hand, other nations that stand in the way of this globalist movement cannot be controlled by Washington merely by controlling media, the internet, and international banking. They must effectively be subdued militarily. That’s why you need to be skeptical of anyone on FR who cheerleads efforts to sqash foreign nations under the excuse of it “being in our national interest”. In many cases it is not.
