CHICAGO - An employee of the city of Chicago's Department of Streets and Sanitation (DSS) is accused of trying to illegally sell an MP-40 automatic machine gun while working his shift.

I see nothing wrong with a citizen selling his own possession? These people need to armed living in that cesspool of a community. God bless him and I hope he sold multiple more of them as they are needed in that “shaded area.”

Did he get it in Indiana? That’s where they claim all the illegal guns in Chicago come from.
He probably thought he would get away with because a while back, the niece of the CPD deputy chief in charge of Ethics and Professional Responsibilty got caught making a big drug drop in her “auntie’s” car. Her boyfriend was arrested.
“Don’t worry,” the niece told the cops, “my auntie is probably your boss. She’s a cop too. This is her car.” I couldn’t find anything else about that case, so I’m guessing it has gone down the memory hole.

If that is the gun in the story, then it is a shootable toy. Every review I read about that particular replica is that is is extremely unreliable. Sometimes even the first round would not fire. Kool looking, but frustrating if actually used. Better on the wall than on the range.
Heck, just get a Glock or a 320 with an extended mag and you are in business.
