Lots of people playing on emotions, too.
Just like any bad situation. Bad people never let bad situations go to waist. It could be simple Harlem looters who use a blackout to cause crime. It could be pharmaceutical companies taking advantage of a pandemic, natural or unnatural. It could be politicians. Or gun runners. Or drug dealers.
That said, the existence of scum bags seeking profit doesn’t lessen the fact there is a problem.
Here, there is a problem. Russia invaded Ukraine unprovoked. Russia had no interest in the Ukraine until massive oil and gas reserves were discovered in the Ukraine. These reserves poised a direct threat to Russia’s only export of value.
That’s it.
Russia is a bad actor. Yes, there are bad people seeking to rob, steal, rape, and pillage as a result. That doesn’t lessen the fact Russia is a bad actor.
