National Guard Builds Border Fencing as Biden Lets Border Wall Rot

Eagle Pass, TX - Upon taking office in January 2021, President Joe Biden halted construction on the U.S. southern border wall, which greatly helps Border Patrol and local law enforcement cut down on illegal activity. As a result the Texas National Guard, deployed last summer through Governor Greg Abbott’s Operation Lone Star, has stepped in to fill the gaps with fencing lined with concertina or razor wire.

“When you drive a tank through a chainlink fence, if it has concertina wire on top, it’ll stop that tank because that wire will get wrapped up on the sprocket, the wheels of the tank. And I always say that to people because they’re like, ‘Well, anybody can get through this fence.’ And I’m like, well actually, I would be hesitant to drive a tank through it...I usually say that when I’m debating someone on walls or fences or barriers if you will,” Texas National Guard Public Affairs Officer Major Michael Perry told Townhall. “The wall works.”

According to Perry, 80 percent of farmers and ranchers on the border are happy to have walls or fences built on their property to protect their property.

During a visit to Eagle Pass this week, Townhall got a first hand look at how National Guard soldiers are currently working to protect private ranches and farms from illegal crossings in the Lone Star state.

On Monday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki falsely claimed border walls don’t work.

“The former President [Trump] invested billions of dollars in a border wall that was never going to work or be effective,” Psaki told reporters.

The Trump administration contracted border wall construction from 2016 and beyond. A number of materials - already been paid for with American tax dollars - have been left to rot by Biden administration officials.

In 2006, Democrats and Republicans voted for the Secure Fence Act, which committed to building 700 lies of border wall, fence and other barrier infrastructure along the U.S. southern border with Mexico. The House of Representatives voted 238-138 and Senate 80-19 to pass the legislation, which was signed into law by President George W. Bush. At the time, Democrat Senator Dick Durbin said the legislation didn't go far enough and that additional border security measures were necessary.

“I would say that that leaves a lot of area uncovered,” Durbin lamented.

Then Senator Barack 0bama agreed.

"It will authorize some badly needed funding for better fences and better security along our borders that should help stem the tide of illegal immigration in this country,” 0bama said.

Fine. Repeal the unconstitutional gun control acts, allow law abiding citizens to buy machine guns at actual cost, and saturate our southern border with some real protection.

We're at war. Just like 12/7/41, only different.

Stop returning ocean shipping containers and build the wall with them. (Use the ones from China first.)

“Jen Psaki falsely claimed border walls don’t work.”

In the case of this wall the Texas National Guard is building, she may be right. Cyclone fencing is easy to climb, and as for the razor wire on top, just throw your jacket over it and—alley oop! Now if there were two walls like that, one inside the other, with vicious dogs running in between them, or if it were electrified...

True. The Japanese never invaded America.

Joe Biden halted construction on the U.S. southern border wall.

At a cost of 2 billion the contractors got paid even if the didn’t finish the job.
S**t for brains Biden strikes again and again..............

Yeah, they're pretty consistent about that. Mark Zuckerberg demanded no walls on our southern border yet built a massive wall around his place in Hawaii.

The pope-on-dope decries walls on borders yet has a massive wall around the vatican.

Barry O'Dummy denounced a wall at our southern border yet has walls around his numerous estates. (Which, raises the question, how did that small time grifter find so much cash in the 8 years he occupied the White Dump?)

A number of materials - already been paid for with American tax dollars - have been left to rot by Biden administration officials.

I don't care if I got caught, but I'd be taking the leftover materials and using it anyway.

Since the states now have to regulate their own borders with a foreign nation, why don’t they pass their own immigration law? For instance, limit the number of expats moving to Texas from other states. Maybe print your own TX Greenbacks backed by gold/silver or TX oil
