Mounting U.S. Debt and Misguided Foreign Policy Risk a Dollar Doomsday
American Thinker.com ^ | April 28, 2022 | J.B. Shurk

The U.S. dollar is getting perilously close to losing its status as the world’s reserve currency, and there is less room than ever for error on the international stage. Blunders in U.S. foreign policy are likely to have more harmful effects on both our allies and our enemies than in the past given the sorry record of the Biden administration. Should the U.S. dollar be knocked out of its position as the reserve currency, hell would break lose across global markets.

With recent memories of Biden’s humiliating and bungled withdrawal from Afghanistan, there is less confidence in the reliability of the United States from our allies, and far less respect and fear of the United States from our enemies. It’s self-evident that the powers behind Biden favor prolonging the Russia-Ukraine war, rather than promoting an expedient end to hostilities, because the ongoing conflict dominates U.S. media and diverts Americans’ attention away from disastrous domestic policies and breaking high-stakes scandals and prosecutions of Democrats and their deep state operatives.

The blame for the Russian-Ukraine war lies with both Russia and the United States and NATO countries. When the Soviet Union broke up in 1991 and Ukraine gained its independence and agreed to dismantle the nuclear arsenal that the USSR had deployed there in the Cold War years, it was understood that Ukraine would remain a neutral country, and that was formalized in the Budapest Agreement of 1994.

It is stupid that it is a relatively,if painful, easy problem to fix.

In 1945, the Reichsmark and the Yen were toilet paper. Been to Germany or Japan lately?

Stuff happens. If the regime falls, it will all be worth it.

Politicians from both parties will take the most damaging solution over the most effective solution if their is pain involved.

There are lots of people who still believe that NATO is relevant and defensive. I guess they slept through 1999.

Would have been nice to see it reined in by W, but he turned out to be a lightweight reactionary.

The Dollar can’t just lose it status as the reserve currency. Some other currency has to replace the dollar. And the country or countries, have to replace the US as the world’s largest import market. Then. The have to have a military large enough to defend shipments into that market. So, tell me who can do those 2 things?

We have a population problem relative to larger markets that won’t be addressed any time soon; the current solution is to poach population from those larger markets. It is radically changing this country.

The world has been warned that business in dollars will be used to bring them to heel; we’ll see how they react.

China has pumped billions of dollars into the American Economy and the Dems Coffers and into the Biden Crime Family to destroy the American Dollar in return the Yuan will become the Worlds Reserve Currency. The 2020 election was no accident for Low IQ Joe to win; China, Soros, and Gates, to name a few, were critical supporters of Bidens win.

“it was understood that Ukraine would remain a neutral country”

No such thing in the Budapest Agreement of 1994:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budapest_Memorandum_on_Security_Assurances

But the many global media trolls of the KGB keep getting that lie into the western media everyday, even among U.S. “conservatives”, who just repeat what has been repeated from somewhere else that was repeated, that was repeated from somewhere else, and likely began in some Leftist center in “the west”.

Of those, Demark’s age distribution is OK. 6 million people won’t move the needle. The Krone can’t replace the Dollar. The rest have too many old people to support and not enough young people to do it.
