Having been snubbed when former President Trump endorsed the U.S. Senate candidacy of a rival a week before, Josh Mandel presented himself Saturday to a northwest Toledo church as a Republican party outsider while railing against the separation of church and state, Democrats, and “establishment Republicans.”
“The core of my campaign is standing up for the Judeo-Christian bedrock of America,” Mr. Mandel, flanked by U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas), told his audience of more than 100 at Northwest Baptist Church on Alexis Road. “We’re the only U.S. Senate race in Ohio, and in America, that is sidestepping the traditional Republican Party groups.”
Churchgoers appeared moved by Mr. Mandel’s story of his grandmother Fernanda’s rescue from the Nazis by Christians.
Mr. Mandel further distanced himself from those he attacked as corrupt by recounting how he stood up to former Ohio Gov. John Kasich, a fellow Republican, to defend what he said was an effort he made as Ohio’s treasurer to make state spending transparent to taxpayers against that governor’s wishes.
For Toledo-area residents, Trump endorsement moves the needle in Senate race “In politics, there's a big difference between having friends and having champions,” Mr. Mandel said to affirm himself as a champion of conservative causes alongside Mr. Cruz and U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan (R., Urbana).
During a news conference afterward, Mr. Cruz painted himself and Mr. Mandel as people who are trustworthy in a sea of corrupt politicians.
“I look for the strongest conservative who can win,” Mr. Cruz said. “Every candidate says they're conservative. Why am I supporting Josh Mandel? Because he's the only candidate in the race that has a record of fighting to defend the right to life on issue after issue.”

On another thread here yesterday a Freeper expressed his opinion that Cruz’s collusion with Mandel sole purpose is to gauge his (Cruz’) influence with the Republican Base for a future run at the presidency. His premise is that if he/Cruz can secure a victory for the stealth RINO Mandel that this bodes well for his future run for the Presidency. I concur with that Freepers supposition 100%. Politicians, on either side are NEVER to be trusted at face value. EVER. They must always be examined thoroughly for Ulterior Motives.
And, the collusion of Cruz and Mandel Stinks to High Heaven.
My Congressman Jim Jordan, the Freedom Congress leader, supports Josh Mandel. Matt Gaetz hasn’t a clue.
I’ve noticed this too. I wish I could see a side by side photo from just a few years ago. He’s definitely gained a lot of weight, but there’s still something weird about his face. IDK.

It seems that Mandel/Cruz/Jordan have one thing in common….They LOVE saying very, very conservative things in front of cameras but not actually getting anything conservative done.

Jim Jordan does have a clue. He knows enough not to endorse or support Mandel this time.
Mandel is “a huckster”, per Navarro. I agree. Oozes slime, much like Cruz.

I used to be a huge fan of Jordan. I am becoming more wary of him though.
If he supports McCarthy for Speaker, I may be done with him.

Tucker Carlson just spoke about and with Vance moments ago. He pointed out that the organizations, pundits, and politicians that have mobilized against Vance are the SAME people and organizations that mobilized against and undermined President Trump before and during his presidency.
He also pointed out that Vance is leading in the polls and is the likely winner of this primary.
Hello!!! Looks like your RINO Establishment anti-Trump choices both lost. The fact that you even considered Dolan tells us ALL what we need to know about you. This fraud’s wife was encouraging Dems to cross over to vote for Dolan.
The reports that Mandel was spouting Trumpism while colluding with McConnell looks to be so very accurate. So, you sir, look to be an anti-Trump Establishment Tool.
I voted for the Conservative candidate Josh Mandel who would have sat in the Freedom Caucus. I never even considered voting for the liberal Dolan or liar Vance.
