for the first time in recent history, significant amounts of the population have never had to survive or a need to seek out the actual truth. So their perception of reality is ABSURD. hence why we are living in the age of the absurd.
the coming food shortage, energy blackouts, etc..... will put a dose of reality into MILLIONS of people. The entire industrialized world is in for one hell of a ride.

It seems more and more likely that the powers-that-be want to kill off most of us through starvation, wars, and economic chaos. They seem to have a vision of a Goering-like sylvania world inhabited by a few hundred thousand elite serviced by machines and a few slaves. They appear to conspire to rid the world of the seven-eight billion rest of us (for the planet's sake, of course).
