As I understand it, the decision is that it will be left to individual states to decide. What’s wrong with that?

I’d like to see this effort by the Democrats blocked. And then I’d like to see a Republican president name 6 additional people to the court, and choose 6 men in their 20s who have pledged to be originalists. Very young versions of Scalia and Thomas. Let them be on the court for 50 or 60 years. And not Ivy league people either.

To the Right it’s great to the Left they understand it’s harder to get 50 states to pass pro abortion laws than have abortion controlled by the central gov.

Ha ha. How convenient that this leaks from Politico (whatever this is, and I say hoax) just as the Dems are collapsing. And how convenient that the Dems have the “war on women” to try and save them. Uh huh.
Pay no attention to that border, inflation, high gas prices, crime, fentanyl, grooming, CRT and the Ministry of Truth. It’s the WAR ON WOMEN!!!
And of course, the Dems have their agenda ready to be pushed the minute this comes out. Look for their election law and BBB to be next up as the answer to this egregious decision.

Ed Markey, the usual left wing crazy spews out nonsense again.
How does he propose to convince Manchin and Sinema to back such a crazy proposal? Answer: He can't.

“What’s wrong with that?”
The Left can’t have any opposition to it anywhere on any subject, especially this subject. The mere thought that States can make their own laws on abortion makes them apoplectic.

Now, this could be a big reason for a leak. What if there was a fake leak to gin up trouble and support in order to pack the court before midterms?

They are going to have to do a heck of a lot more than that to get anywhere.
Shouting abuse at Manchin is just not going to do it.

They are just getting started. We are in a war.

SC didn’t actually “decide” to leave it up to states. That’s the default. Always had been, and will be again when Roe is struck down.
So it doesn’t prohibit abortions, just makes them harder to find in some states, but libs won’t ever acknowledge it.

As I understand it, the decision is that it will be left to individual states to decide. What's wrong with that? Where to begin (from a leftist's POV)…they can't force a State to perform abortions. Planned Parenthood's stock of baby parts is going to be on par with car chips. More importantly (to them) this restores the religious objection of the voters within any given State to the abhorrent practice and THAT is a biggie for the atheist left.

Them Dem demonstrations never achieved much of anything. They did even worse during Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings. Where’d that get them? Nowhere.
As far as Manchin is concerned, he's never backed down because of far left abuse. They only make him even more determined to fight them.

Because if you don’t like the results, change the people counting the votes.

No way in hell will EVERY Dem —along with ALL Repubs— join together to change makeup of the court, but I do hope they try.
Efforts will alienate everyone except suburban women which is the demo they already own. It would cement that vote, but chase away even more indies, imho
