Why does Coca-Cola keep doing this stuff? Surely they realize that their product is entirely unnecessary for human functioning, meaning if people got serious about boycotting these woke corporate scum, they’ll be one of the ones losing the most.

I could see current Twitter management signing contracts with companies agreeing to do so, against the interests of the new owner.

Companies like Coca-Cola (CCEP), Disney (DIS) and Kraft (KHC) need to issue simple statements saying, “After due consideration and consultation with our shareholders, we have decided to leave the political arena and concentrate solely on our products and services.”

How difficult would that be?

I already dropped Woca Cola and Disney. Don’t make me drop you too Kraft. Leftists are not the only ones who can boycott a brand.

Any speech that is not leftist trash is considered “hate speech”. What Musk is “rolling back” is censorship of the truth.

Wow these people are dumb. First of all Musk said he was going to take the company private and bring money through subscriptions not advertising and second of all even if he kept advertising there’s no way these companies are going to avoid such an Aggregate of consumers.

“Coca-Cola (CCEP), Disney (DIS) and Kraft (KHC) are facing calls to boycott Twitter”

I’d say if they boycott Twitter I’d boycott them, but I’m already boycotting Coke and Disney, so I guess I’d just have to add Kraft to the list. Whatever, the generic mac & cheese is good enough.

Boycotts often boomerang.

Yep. The Red Hen restaurant in VA is still open and thriving.

There is more hate speech on Facebook than a Klan convention. FB just hides it better, and the sheer volume of content makes it harder to find.

The good thing about social media is that it is “social”. People can freely weed out the haters from their feeds. They can argue against bad ideas. They can opt to argue points against information they believe to be untrue. That is the whole idea behind the 1st Amendment and there is no reason why it cannot or should not apply to these platforms except for the fact that those who would censor content can exert pressure on private companies (or are run by people who want to censor) because they are not government forums. Even more, the platforms are exempt from liability so there is even less reason for these platforms to censor anything at all.

If crimes are committed, then social people users can report the crimes to the authorities.

Where are Twitter ads anyway? I never see any.

I've never seen one either.

These three companies — Disney, Craft and Coke — maybe receive $5.00 a month from my monthly budget. That’s IT!

Musk, on the other hand, receives $110.00 per month from my monthly budget for my — finally — fast internet service.

Thanks EM and your companies!

Anti-Hate speech and anti-Bullying campaigns are not about protecting anyone except perverts and leftists.

This seems like a giant($$$)risk for Musk.

One word...sabotage.

Hope he's just a good chess-player.

“Don’t make me drop you too Kraft.”

That’s gonna be a tough one, but I’ll do it.

Already learned to live without woke Procter Gamble.
