Vice President Kamala Harris delivered a fiery speech at a pro-abortion activist gala on Tuesday, calling all Democrats to fight for abortion rights.
The vice president spoke at the EMILY’s List gala in Washington, DC, referring to Monday’s leak of a Supreme Court justice’s opinion suggesting that justices were preparing to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Some responses to Harris:
1. Harris says she can’t think of any laws that affect men’s choices about their bodies? The draft laws seem to refute her.
2. In the law, if I were to pick up a baby, whether mine or another’s, I cannot then just let the baby fall to the ground if I decided it was too heavy to carry. I have forfeited my right to do with my body whatever I wish until I can get that child to a place of safety before dropping my tired arms. Roe versus Wade changed that rule by saying the baby was not a baby until after it was born. The safety principle needs to be re-instated. No one forces a woman to assume an 18-year term of servitude when she can give the child up for adoption.
3. Finally, does Harris and Company not realize we are right now paying the price for their selfishness? Do they really believe it is a coincidence that the generation which was permitted to be born only if it was convenient to the mother now considers the lives of others cheap and disposable based on their own ideas of convenience? We sowed the wind and are reaping the whirlwind until we can again establish the value of life to all people.
They haven’t been so mad since the emancipation proclamation.
The stupid thing about the false outrage is that abortion won’t actually become any more difficult going forward. If a woman wants an abortion performed by medical staff she will still be able to do so despite this leak.

Abortion is not going to be outlawed nationwide. The question as to the legality of abortion, and the limitations placed upon the procedure, are being shifted back to the individual states. Want an abortion? Go to the venues where the STATE laws prescribe the means and extent of how the abortion is carried out. It is of no concern of the Federal government how this legislation is applied.
A disproportionate number of all abortion clinics are located in neighborhoods predominately populated by Americans of African descent. Look it up.
