What I find surprising is that Sinema seems to be the only Democrat that understands that the filibuster potentially helps both parties. Are the rest of them unable to comprehend that they might not have the majority in the future? I guess that’s the arrogance that comes from stealing elections.
They’ve been doing this a long time. I don’t think they’re so hubristic as to never think that they might find these mechanisms used against them when the wind shifts. I think they’re just willing to gamble with shooting their future in the foot for what they think is the immediate gain.
That they’re continuing even in the face of current polls is insanity - but that’s how they are.
