Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) said he was just "acting foolish, and joking" with "a friend" in response to a video he characterized as the latest hit piece meant to destroy his political career.
The 26-year-old congressman, who has been ensnared in a string of controversies in recent weeks, released a statement Wednesday appearing to confirm the authenticity of a short clip showing him naked in bed atop another man, getting physical and making noises.

Madison needs to be primaried out.
No wonder his marriage ended in record time. The wife apparently thought better of giving cover to this dude’s real proclivities.
Or he needs to have the facts of political life 'splained to him. This kind of thing is used by the Democrat media freakshow to color all Republicans.
Cawthorn is his own worst enemy.
If it wasn’t for his military service I doubt he would have been elected in the first place, but that’s just me.

I once saw a politician say that it’s hard to keep misbehavior hidden in Washington. He said,”If you’d be ashamed to have what you say or do placed on a billboard in your hometown, don’t do it”.

Another closeted gay Pubbie. That’s got to be a profile the GOP finds really useful to promote and control. Apparently he wasn’t bending enough for them when they started to expose him with the staffer investigation and he decided to fight back by going public with their efforts to get more explicit blackmail material on him. Now they are continuing to escalate their takedown of him.
He was never in the military.
He's been in a wheelchair since he was 18an. He was injured in an auto accident.

Anyone who aspires to lead in Washington DC has a major character flaw of some sort, period. Anyone and everyone.
True story: A book by an intelligence offer I read years ago said in the cold war the CIA was getting tired of agents being blackmailed by foreign powers because of their sex life, so the CIA actually financed the campaign in western society to make it no longer shameful to have sexual kinks so they would not have to worry about their agents being blackmailed because they were gay or whatever.
