I think the left is mistaken as to how much support there is for abortion these days. Since Roe v. Wade so much medical advancement has been made that even some on the left realize that it is not just a clump of tissue that “may” turn into a child.

I’ve pretty much blocked all lefties out of my life over the past couple of years (couldn’t stand the craziness over Covid), but those I knew before that were already getting to the point of agreeing that after six to eight weeks, abortion shouldn’t be allowed. And, they were appalled at third trimester abortions. I think the left is “jumping the shark” on this issue and it will not be the vote “getter” they are expecting. A lot of normal liberals are getting tired of the progressives hi-jacking the democrat party. Just look at the turn-out numbers in Ohio with regards to Democrats and Republicans.

Yes, the media amplifies the loudest voices, but I don’t think they have as much support as they think. Most moderate liberals are more concerned with paying their mortgage, putting gas in their vehicle, and paying for the food on the table for the children they DID have.

Rich Baris talks about the way Democrats rode abortion throughout the nineties. The numbers aren’t there anymore. Even pro choicers aren’t comfortable with the unborn child feeling pain and or killing them before they come down the birth canal. But Democrats want and always get their way.
