It’s so dystopian it seems like a movie, but it unfortunately is not.
The Department of Homeland Security announced just last week that it is creating a Committee of Public Information to combat disinformation, headed by the self-proclaimed Russian disinformation expert, Nina Jankowicz.
That’s right. The Ministry of Truth from George Orwell’s 1984 is becoming reality nearly 40 years after the fictional story’s set time frame. Taxpayers are now funding the government to monitor what information is accessible to us online and what is deemed trustworthy and accurate news.
We no longer need to think, right?
Apparently, the people in the federal government think that middle America still trusts in them – that has certainly changed.
The committee has been dubbed the Disinformation Governance Board and has received plenty of heat since it was first announced, especially for making far-leftist Nina Jankowicz in charge.
We already know the media, government and politicians will all contort anything to fit the narrative they are pushing, which is why independent research is a necessity. Yet critical thinking has never been more discouraged.
Why would any sane person decide to put all of their trust into these corrupt sources instead of being a self-governing, free-thinking individual? Knowledge is key to a free society, and controlling the people’s access to information allows the government to control what we believe and how we respond.
We’re living in a strange time when the federal government is attempting to gain control over as many people as possible through controlled media, but a Convention of States can help fight this absurdity.
Using Article V of the Constitution, the states can come together and limit the federal government’s overall power so that our information is not filtered through the State Department’s overreaching power. Censorship has no place in America.

If not now, when?
I dunno. Don’t you think the left will turn this convention into a crisis and not let it go to waste? They’ll hijack it and hold us hostage. Will we fight? Check the GOP history.

Secession
It's time for us to jettison those who reject our national values because there's no changing them. Time to secede.
We should extend the invitation to secede on a county by county basis.
While we're at it, since we'd be forming a new country, we should extend the invitation to counties in Canada and Mexico as well. Heck, the New America could extend to Greenland and Siberia.
Note that this option is becoming increasingly popular.

As if the institutions will cease.
The treatment of the Jan 6th protesters is a glimpse at what they are willing to do to patriots.
<>If not now, when?<>
If we wait for The Great Reset, when opposition to tyranny is an outright violation of the law and convicts are sent to special prisons, it will be far too late.
Let’s first exhaust non-violent means to save our sinking republic.
“...Don’t you think the left will turn this convention into a crisis...”

No.
I do not.
“People vote”, not “acreage”.
Very bad plan. The Left would take the opportunity to enshrine every item on their wish list into the Constitution.
People used to vote in the old system, wherein the population density led to fraud. So you might as well say “Population density fraud” votes, not “acreage”.
I can’t think of many people on the political scene today that I would trust with this. Unfortunately. The monster the federal government has become has been decades in the making. Any step toward more authoritarianism, such as this Disinformation “Czar”, is a short step, indeed. The massive power is all right there and ready to be used and abused. It’s a tragedy previous generations didn’t have the foresight to see where this would lead. I’ll be a lot of Americans think the ways things are are the way things should be.
This IS a nonviolent means. It is entirely intended to be nonviolent. These are not the days of Fort Sumter.
The convention will not be a free-for-all.
While I don’t doubt that loser states like CA, IL and NY may empower delegates to propose Marxist schemes but the chances of them prevailing against the forty-seven remaining states is near impossible.
Besides, the COS can only propose amendments. Ratification by three-fourths of the states is necessary.
A COS is an end run, a flanking movement against the Deep State that we so desperately need.
Yeah, too bad the framers of the Constitution didn’t put any checks and balances to prevent this from happening. s/
If you thought YouTube banning was bad, it is about to get worse with this full blown Chicom move
Then let the people vote for their own new country.
The fact that our Masters planned a Ministry of Truth long before Elon Musk made his interest in Twitter public, is further proof of their intent to shut us down.
Recall the congressional bill that Manchin helped to kill. Among its nefarious sections, it would have criminalized criticism of the outcome of federal elections.
The 17th Amendment enabled the mess we are in today.
