Very bad plan. The Left would take the opportunity to enshrine every item on their wish list into the Constitution.

They can put anything they want into their version of the final article. But any changes they propose must be ratified by three-quarters of the States and that is a high hurdle indeed. People seem to think the Left will have carte blanche to erase the Constitution and rewrite any part of it they want. Not so.
They can pack their version like a Christmas stocking, full of everything they ever dreamed about. “Woke” to the max. Go nuts.
But during ratification, the real people get to decide what stays and what goes. Trust your fellow Americans to maintain (and restore) sanity.
Why a Convention of the States? Because Congress cannot be counted upon to make Amendments that we need, such as term limits and a balanced budget. Congress would NEVER propose such Amendments, leaving us with only one way to get them enacted, as provided in Article V.
