Stanford University has launched a hate crime investigation after a noose was found hanging from a tree at a residence hall.
In an email to students and staff, university officials said campus safety authorities immediately “removed the noose and retained it as evidence” after it was discovered around 7:45 p.m. Sunday outside Branner Hall.
Campus police have interviewed students and maintenance workers to try to find out when the noose had been put on display, and identify a potential suspect or suspects.

Any video of juicy smolay in the area?
WOLF, WOLF, WOLF!!!
I’ve seen this story play out too many times to think it is anything other than an attention seeking hoax.
I hope the black guy who did this is found and punished.
Black student or teacher found to have perpetrated a hoax in 3 ... 2 ... 1....
Has there ever been one of these that was not a hoax?
Anyone else smell "set up?
Odds are in the 1000’s to 1 territory that this is a staged hoax.
Is it that hoax time again already ?
Oh, midterms coming up, so,, ya.
This is not the time for an investigation. They should bash White people without evidence and then quietly announce it was a hoax sometime later.
Every single time it is a black leftist who does it or some ignorant interpretation of an object that is not a noose.
Every classroom I sat in during high school had the heavy blinds with the thick pull cords. the ends of each of the pull cords were tied into miniature nooses. I tied several myself. Nothing racial about it. Just a bored kid. Today I would probably put on ADHD meds.
Vegas taking odds?
“It’s déjà vu all over again.”
Check with NASCAR. They might know something about this. /S

Oh come on, at least post a photo. A stock photo from Getty will be good enough. How about a drawing of a garage door pull cord?
Punished? Are you kidding? He'll be hailed as a hero for "raising consciousness about the problem of racism".
