President Biden has signed an order authorizing the military to once again deploy hundreds of Special Operations forces inside Somalia — largely reversing the decision by President Donald J. Trump to withdraw nearly all 700 ground troops who had been stationed there, according to four officials familiar with the matter.
In addition, Mr. Biden has approved a Pentagon request for standing authority to target about a dozen suspected leaders of Al Shabab, the Somali terrorist group that is affiliated with Al Qaeda, three of the officials said. Since Mr. Biden took office, airstrikes have largely been limited to those meant to defend partner forces facing an immediate threat.

Notice the press will be very quiet about this since al Shabab is an ally of Iran and has undertaken attacks on US and Israelis in Kenya, etc. Kerry and Obama and others are still hoping the Biden admin gets another Iran Deal so all things related to Iran’s proxy terrorists have to be downplayed.
The Dems are the same people who kept insisting al Qaeda and Iran don’t get along, even though it is well known that Iran gets along just fine with anyone who shares the same enemies.
Last October, a UK-born son of Somali refugees who had been radicalized by al Shabaab attacked a British official with a knife, likely because of the man’s support of Israel, Iran’s number 2 opponent after the US.
IIRC, the official was UK MP Sir David Amess- he was stabbed to death.
More recently, this past April, al Shabab threatened to assassinate both Biden and Trump.
Meanwhile our southern border resembles a Boston Marathon of millions entering illegally.

I wrote that off as a conspiracy theory until we bailed out of Afghanistan. Now it's clear we can't win a war because they won't let us. We saw that in Vietnam, and we saw it again in Afghanistan. They just drag the wars out and make their profits until we're tired of it and want out. The fact that we were humiliated on the world stage and thousands of our troops died meant nothing to them.
