Abrams: Georgia’s Massive Early Voting Turnout Doesn’t Mean I Was Wrong about Voter Suppression

During a portion of an interview with CNN aired on Monday’s “CNN Newsroom,” Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams (D) responded to the state’s record early voting turnout in the 2022 primaries, which was more than double the in-person early voter turnout in the 2020 and 2018 primaries, by stating that the law was “designed to respond to the turnout that we saw in 2020 and 2021,” and the record turnout doesn’t disprove her claims that Georgia’s election law would lead to voter suppression.

What's wrong is all the suppression polls trying to make MAGA voters believe that Kemp is the runaway winner.

First of all, to be included in the polls as a "likely voter" you had to vote in the previous governor primary election in 2018. This excludes large numbers of MAGA people who were first time voters in 2020 or who had become complacent and didn't vote in 2018 and Trump inspired them to vote in 2020.

Secondly, GA has open primaries. So if you are a Democrat who voted in the 2018 republican primary, then you would be allowed to be included in this poll. The title of "Likely Republican Primary Voters" does not at all mean the poll only consisted of republicans. It means the poll consists of likely voters who will turn out for the republican primary.

Get out and vote, MAGA peeps! GA is a cesspool of RINO corruption and Kemp, Raffensperger and Carr must go!!

I didn’t vote for Kemp but not because of 2020 election except that his choice of his gal pal for the US Senate was a total disaster obviously from her announcement speech. Realistically, I expect Kemp will not face a run off. Whoever faces Stacy in the fall will get my vote.
