The 2022 Pennsylvania Primary has exposed the utter delusion of Republicans who thought the stolen 2020 election could be safely ignored. Once Trump was off the ballot — they told us — all of these “election abnormalities” would disappear. Our normal election system would “return to normal.” I heard this countless times in 2020 and 2021 from educated people who turned out to be complete fools.

John Fetterman had a stroke and a cardiac pacemaker installed all in less time than it takes Pennsylvania Republicans to count the remaining 2000 votes. Good luck with the midterms and in 2024.

My mother worked as a volunteer GOP canvasser and poll-watcher in our county, for much of her adult life from after WWII until the 1980s. They used the old analogue machines with the pull-lever. Absentee ballots were required to be sent in 2 weeks before the election.
They tabulated votes when the polls closed, and she was home never more than an hour later, and we would watch national results together on TV.

Pennsylvania is a lost cause. They can’t even have an honest elect with only republicans on the ballot. Imagine when it it’s R vs D?

Dr. Oz has won. As of 12:10 PM today Dr. Oz has 982 votes. In the last three hours McCormick has picked up two votes. Allegheny county is the only county that has greater than 99% outstanding. They have 1.4% outstanding which represents around 1400 votes. If McCormick gets a 39% of that and Dr. Oz gets 32% of that number that’s an extra hundred votes for McCormick. That’s it it’s over. Now if McCormick cheats but he still has the find over 1000 votes that’s a big cheat. I mean Al Franken only cheated for 320 votes.
That close does it automatically call for a recount by the states?.

I have worked the polls for the last 6 years.
The individual polling places are done within 30-60 minutes after polls close unless you have a very large district or something.
Polling places don’t count the absentee ballots. We put together our results and data and then the judge takes it down to drop it off... never more an 60 minutes after the polls close, usually done in 30-45.
The counting of absentee, and provisional ballots and all that stuff goes on down at the county, never done at the individal polling stations.
This race, is a mess because you have 2 turds, both deemed acceptable by the party establishment who both pretty much have been rejected by the primary voters.
Both Oz and McCormick are turds.. Oz sells in the low information philly suburb women voters... McCormick sells better in the T.. and neither one sells great period.
Both spent around 30 Million each trying to convince the PA GOP primary voters to back them (more individually that both parties spent combined on the last Senate GENERAL election in PA) and neither one of them are any good... So not surprisingly 2 dogs that won’t hunt, wound up showing exactly how bad each of them are..
Said this long ago and stand by it... if Oz or McCormick are the nominee, even with the big red wave coming don’t be surprised in the least if Fetterman wins this seat... They are both LOUSY candidates...
Only way either of them wins is if the D brand is so damaged by Biden and the Economy that a ham sandwich would win as long as it has an R by its name. Otherwise, Fetterman eats either of them for breakfast and craps them out by lunch.
Oz is complete off brand to win this state.. and McCormick is just another boring Bush era Wall Street Republican.. neither are capable of getting the excitement and votes or turnout needed to win PA as a republican. Neither will excite the base.. let alone the independents.
Primary pretty much played out as I would have expected, Oz won generally the Philly area, and McCormick generally did far better in the T. Doesn’t matter who the candidate is... unless this election is not about the candidates at all, neither one is going to win state wide in November.
I believe it’s under 500 votes in Pennsylvania. It’s not gonna get there.
PA auto recount threshold is .5%... Currently, the difference is less than 1000 votes... or roughly .07% so yes, an automatic recount is happening no matter what the final vote tally comes in at.

Current difference is around .07% and shrinking. This has pretty much been in automatic recount territory almost from the start.
The overriding takeaway from 2020 election is that Democrat vote fixing will not be investigated, tried or convicted by Democrat LE. So is it much of a surprise to see it continue even more blatantly?
