In yet another tragic mass shooting, Salvador Ramos, 18, slaughtered 19 innocent children and two much-loved teachers at Robb Elementary school, in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday before being killed in a shoot out with a Border Patrol officer and local law enforcement.
It is the second deadliest shooting in US history after the infamous Sandy Hook massacre in 2012 - which saw 26 people killed - and has once again left people asking how someone could commit such a heinous crime.
As the country tries to make sense of the tragedy, stories about Ramos are beginning to emerge from those who knew him best, painting the picture of loner with a propensity for self-harm and violence, who was from an unstable home, including an alleged drug-using mother.
Texas State Senator Roland Gutierrez said in a local television interview that the school shooter was born in North Dakota, but attended high school in Uvalde.
Neighbors and classmates say his behavior spiraled into the bizarre and macabre as he entered his later teenage years, with one friend telling Good Morning America: 'He had scars on his face and someone asked him, 'Are you ok?' and he just said with a smile 'I did it myself, I liked how it looked.'
He began dressing in dark clothes and military boots and used his BB gun to target random people, one local claimed.
There are around 15,000 residents in Uvalde which sits roughly 80 miles west of San Antonio, around an hour's drive from the US-Mexico border.
The would-be mass murderer lived with his grandmother on Hood Street, less than three miles from the Robb Elementary school.
More than one-third of residents in the city live at or barely above the federal poverty line.

But here is the thing. Not enough.
I know a kindergarten teacher (well, soon to be former one) that was assaulted with a WEAPON by one of her students IN CLASS.
Kindergarten. Well the boy was older.
The mother threatened to sue the school because the teacher “dissed” her darling little boy, and felt the need to attack teacher with a knife.
Mom was dating a community organizer. When the police were called, because that is what you do with a violent student, the cops did nothing other than sit back and make sure the little monster’s rights were not violated. Otherwise racism.
So... Teacher quits. Kid continues on his path to prison. Mom is happy because she protected her boy from the mean white lady, and the school is happy it stays out of the news cycle.
Now imagine being a student in that class.
This isn’t unique. That boy will be on a path to a lifetime of frustration, prison, and damage of other people with no real path up. That is bad, but he will drag a lot of others down with him before he is through.
And any attempt to correct the behavior is met with resistance starting with the parent up to the police. The councilors that may come in are fighting everyone, and have no way forward.
Illustrating that public schools are broken and our society is broken due to PC. So it’s every man for himself, home school, private school options etc.
What I’ve seen of counselors their counseling with further enable the child’s path to perdition.
Our society is broken, because it no longer exists.
This perp, may he burn, was the product of the break down of society. An extreme product.
Schools are a fine tuning mechanism at best. But if the kid is feral, receives no correction at home or in their neighborhood, then there is little the schools can do.
We have a lot of broken people, have kids, making more broken people.
What do we do? Because what we are doing now isn’t working

If he was an illegal alien, I don’t think that he would have been able to legally purchase a firearm.

I think some people just lack social skills to get on with other people and this leads to a spiral of rejection and decline in mental health until like this guy, you are so disconnected and angry with other people that you eventually go and do something like this.
There are a lot of people out there who are on this spiral and people who know what they’re doing need to find a way to connect with these people and arrest this spiral before it culminates in this.

Also I can’t remember where but I had read he has social messages warning of something dealing with the school.
The issue is — there are millions more of these types out there. No Dads, no morals, no parents looking out for them, no authority in their lives — Their minds are warped by video games, social media, drugs, and the perverted sick godless culture — it’s any wonder we don’t have more of this every day. But no one says anything because little weirdos like this are becoming the NORM. And they are now moving into adulthood — it’s a sick world and getting worse.
But somehow it’s the fault of the NRA and white republicans — always all our fault.
People who commit violence against innocents have one core trait:
an interest in committing violence against innocents.
A reason why the American media sucks, and British media is better.
One of his former classmates said the shooter was the bully.
He could have stolen from grandma or he had a job selling drugs.
