"The platform's choice to release this special now, during a wave of unprecedented anti-trans legislation, is unconscionable," according to Vox.
This week, British comedian Ricky Gervais released a new Netflix standup special, SuperNature, which has been widely heralded by cultural critics in the media as transphobic..
At this point, deeming standup specials transphobic—and taking to task the company that has platformed them—is a well-polished act. The only thing that's changed since this last happened, to Dave Chappelle, is Netflix's resolve to stand its ground.
In October, Netflix employees crashed a meeting of company executives and staged a walkout over the streaming service's decision to platform the purportedly transphobic special Dave Chappelle—one of the most famous living comedians who dreamed up the character Clayton Bigsby, a blind white supremacist who doesn't know he's black, and spent most of the early aughts crafting absurd skits about race for Chappelle's Show. The protesters technically never called for deplatforming Chappelle but demanded disclaimers before content that promotes so-called hate speech; for the algorithm to suggest "trans-affirming" content alongside specials like Chappelle's; and for the company to prioritize platforming work by trans/non-binary creators.

I thought it was worn out and boring. Nothing I’ve not heard before
Is Cuties and other similar offerings still part of their line-up?
Can’t say I’ve ever been a Ricky Gervais fan, but I may check it out just to give it ratings.
If it’s bad, I’ll let it run while I go make a sandwich.
I found it to be funny, offensive, hilarious, sharp and traditional. Traditional in the sense that it’s the type of comedy that has been prevalent for the last 40 or 50 years.
And what amazes me is that wokesters are now offended at this traditional style of comedy. Jokes against Muslims or queers or women are now off-limits.
It’s as if overnight comedians have now become the target of angry young millennialists.
It’s too late, Netflix. We will never come back.
Suprising that sex change operations are even legal, let alone some kind of civil rights.
So...I can cancel canceling Netflix?
Shock value only works so long.

It wasn't his best work, but my wife and I laughed uncontrollably for 5 minutes while the credits were rolling.
The last joke was hilarious.
I'll finger ya, mum.
That fat clown is repetitious, vulgar and boring. No thanks. It’s hard to imagine how he got to be popular. Must be with the stoner crowd.
I’m watching he is even telling jokes about Muslims can you believe it.
I’m shocked they aired it to be honest...
Most atheists have a very nasty attitude toward religion, and love to mock religious people. He didn't do that, and I thought it might have sent a message to other atheists listening that perhaps they should reconsider their own antipathy towards those who hold religious beliefs.

I would argue that imposing the transgender nonsense on normal society is the unconscionable.
If you want to know who rules over you
just find out who you can not criticize.
