I didn't believe that when I saw it, but I looked it up and it's true. However, of the 400+ incidents since 2000, only 15 involved four or more deaths, and only seven involved 10 or more deaths. By my count, 352 of the incidents involved no deaths or only one death. I'd say at least two-thirds of that group involved no deaths at all.

Most of the incidents appeared to be the result of personal grudges, or spontaneous incidents such as arguments after sporting events. Very few of the incidents - between five and ten - were of the planned-out, mass-murder, psycho variety. In more than a few incidents, the perpetrator was himself suicidal.

Addendum: Since 2000, there have been 400+ shootings at K-12 schools and/or colleges. There are approximately 131,000 K-12 schools and 5,300 colleges and universities. The odds of there being a fatal shooting at any particular school are extremely small, and the odds of a mass shooting like Parkland are even smaller.

I agree. Gun safety courses for all, age 10 and above with gun ranges at all of the schools to practice firing all types of guns.
