Friend who had traveled to N.Carolina came back and caught covid somewhere along the way. Said her body ached alot and it was like a cross between the flu and a bad cold. Slept alot. No appetite at all....She did test positive for covid ....and had to be tested again before going back to work.
If you take the right vitamins and supplements, it’s only like a cold. We are using C, D3, zinc, quercetin, lysine, NAC, budesonide nasal spray, lactoferrin and Benadryl. We’ve been using most of those as a precaution, and then I upped the doses once we tested positive,
Our kids insisted that we get the antiviral Paxlovid which our doctor authorized, begrudgingly for me because I have no health issues. My husband’s only issue is he is slightly overweight, but nearing normal BMI. I don’t know if that’s made us get over it more quickly or not. I’d like to think it’s because we weren’t afraid of this damn bug in part, and because we got fresh air every day, took brief walks outside when we felt we could. I’m on day 3 and feel nearly 100%. My energy is back.
My husband picked it up when he had to travel for business a week ago. About 20 people at his worksite came down with it at the same time he did. And of course, we didn’t isolate when he returned home. So I was exposed before we even knew he was positive.
People need to realize that this is just like every other cold they’ve gotten. Take care of yourself. Rest, stay hydrated, eat. Most important, don’t be afraid of this. It’s not a death sentence. You’ll be over it before you know it.
