Every time a Democrat dumps oil from the Reserve, another Democrat makes a lot of money.
This is the typical amateur hour analysis of those who don’t know how to properly look at numbers.
Rookie investers are often baffled why a stock went DOWN, after they reported strong earning/sales/profits. “But the reported sales and earnings were up? Why did my stock fall?”
“Well because the market was expecting 5 and the the number was 4, a good positive number but below expectations, so the stock fell. 5 was already baked into the price.”
You just can’t look at the price and say “It didn’t ‘work’.” If oil was at $80, and went to $90, there could have been other factors kicking in at the same time. Without the extra supply hitting the market, the price could have gone to $100. I see this flawed thinking all the time. “But I took medicine X or vitamin X and I still got sick, That proves X doesn’t work.” NO, you may have gotten even sicker or stayed sick longer.

It’s being used for political purposes. Democrat policies get themselves and the nation in trouble. This is how they deal with it. Clinton used the military for political purposes to push gay acceptance. Now the military’s all LGBTQ centric.

Draining the strategic reserve is like selling off your stash of old silver quarters to eat at McDonalds.
Draining it is subject to the whims of whoever is in office. Would Jimmy Carter stand for it? The SPR was his idea. Biden put us in this dilemma. Wait for the next POTUS to get us out?
I’ll say it again. Give the contents as needed to Cuba after they overthrow the communists. It will last awhile as their new economy will grow slowly and take time. Refill it as the world price of oil goes down. Free oil will jump start their reintegration to the US.
