This guy’s a real winner.
Elected to the city council on May 7, the district’s top cop would not be seated until after the dead from the attack were buried, Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin said Monday.
In a surprising development, Arredondo was sworn in Tuesday evening in a private ceremony, McLaughlin announced in a statement.
“Uvalde City Council members were sworn in today as per the City Charter,” the statement read. “Out of respect for the families who buried their children today, and who are planning to bury their children in the next few days, no ceremony was held.”
RAT Beto supporter...likely in on it from the early planning stages.
Begin by not allowing him into town retail stores.
Yes, Mr. Councilman, I understand my lawn is un mown, let me explain. Okay, Crazy.
This is nuts. Something's going on.
Not cooperating regarding the mass murder of children. Incredible.
This is a Democrat cover up.
Ya get what ya vote for.
Poor spectrum of candidates notwithstanding.
This is simply the Pedro Principle in action.
I heard he was elected as City Councilor due to his keen perception and decision making skills.
Why would that be?
Sounds like how they do things in Mehico.
The Chief heard that some of the investigators might be... Republicans.
I bet Pelosi and Schumer do everything possible to back him up, especially things that can be done on the Q-T.
Dems will likely rally behind him and I would not be surprised if they claim that anyone that criticizes him is a racist.
It baffles me how this county is, by all accounts, very conservative and yet still manages to elect “leaders“ like this.
According to city-data.com, the county voted strongly Republican in the last seven presidential elections. It went strongly for Trump in 2016 (54%) and 2020 (59%.)
Wouldn’t it be a conflict of interest being a city council member and a city employee/school police chief. He has oversight of himself, does he not?
I’m thinking that the Uvalde City Council position isn’t full time with a nice salary and benefits.
No surprise here. This is what public school does. A principal or superintendent will come into a school district and cause a disaster, and then move on to work for another one. It’s almost like they hire them with no questions asked. It happens so frequently that public school people have a name for it. It’s called: “Passing the trash.”
I have no doubt that it happens just as frequently in other public entities.
department stops cooperating with investigators. My guess, Investigators are weaving a tail to put the blame on them, anyone find the stand down orders from the FBI and DOJ yet. This has so conveniently happened at parkland and other school shootings so why is this so shocking follow the tea leaves
Cowards all of them.
Is there a shortage of tar and feathers in Uvalde? Why is this POS still in town?
