On 10 gallons (about $46) of gas a WHOPPING $1.60! Happy Days are Here Again! Our overlords are extremely generous!

Look, I'll take it. Not too often the State of New York lessens the crushing foot of taxation on the heads of us hapless drones.
Still, they will cry the blues and try to make it up somewhere else. The cut-spending option will never cross their minds in Albany.

Not to worry. They’ll make you pay for it later.

Don’t do that! We need to start screaming at Joe to rescind the EO he passed on his first day in office that killed the XL Pipeline, restricted federal oil leases, and encourage bureaucratic tree huggers to slow the permitting process. Just undo the damage you’ve caused, Joe, and let our energy sector get back to work...you twit.

The state will cut a portion of its gas tax by 16 cents per gallonGreat, it was $4.89 yesterday, so now it will be $4.73, still over the national averages.

Big deal. Government actions make gas very expensive. Then 5 months before a big election they give you 16 cents back.
And some people fall for it.

NYers interviewed on the radio said “big deal, gas is still ruinously expensive”. It’s not gonna work. How scared must the demonrats in charge be to give up the income like this?

Just in time for the 50 cent hike that seems to be going across the country.

NY gas tax is high. Not California high but high.
This is a Governor election year. That what that is about

That would be awesome here in Nevada. If they cut the price by 16 cents it would drop to a reasonable $5.60. But at least there are no more mean tweets

Who wants to bet that once the price of gasoline drops, NY State will double the fuel tax to make up for the lost revenue and of course it will be temporary 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I’d take it, too. here in CA I believe it’s about $.54, and it looks like the Legislature is going to suspend it for a year. That’s a bit more meaty. We do have nearly a $100B surplus, so it’s nice of them to throw some crumbs to the masses
